WaytoHelp is a non-profit organization which looks to raise awareness and funding for selected charities. It looks for charities that have significant impact on our world and it favours quality over quantity. These charities create a sustainable difference to the world we live in either through improving the lives of those less fortunate or protecting the environment and animal ecosystem.
WaytoHelp is managed by two siblings who want to use their passions for good. Maya (12) and Ankit (15) worked together as a team to imagine and create WaytoHelp in 2016. All photographs are taken by Ankit and Maya manages all the operations of the organization.
This year, they are proud to be collaborating with the Great Plains Foundation. The Foundation promotes the welfare for lions, elephants and rhinos in Africa. It was started by Beverly and Dereck Joubert - two renowned National Geographic photographers and filmmakers. Though their main focus is on the preservation of lions, elephants and rhinos, they also help impoverished communities and tribes from nearby villages. They educate these people on how to rely less on hunting and join in the preservation of these magnificent animals.
WaytoHelp is now exhibiting at the American Club. The exhibit "The Beauty of Nature" aims to use photographs to communicate the allure of the natural world around us. All proceeds from this exhibition go directly to the Great Plains Foundation.
